Hypertask privacy
Your reminders
Hypertask asks macOS for permission to access Apple Reminders. It uses that access to show, create, edit, move, complete, and delete reminders and manage lists when you choose those actions. Task titles, notes, dates, and lists remain in Apple Reminders. They are not sent to Lamonade.
What stays on your Mac
Hypertask stores settings, the identifiers of your Now tasks, small next steps you write, and — for the direct edition — your license key in local app storage. These details are not uploaded to a Hypertask server. The app has no separate task account, advertising, or task analytics.
Purchases
Website purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the payment details you enter, your email, and that you bought Hypertask. Lamonade receives a checkout record (paid or not, amount, email, Stripe ids) so we can issue your license and download. We do not receive your full card number. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to checkout. A Mac App Store purchase is handled by Apple, not Stripe.
If we email your license or download, that message goes to the address from checkout. Support email you send to us includes whatever you write.
Apple services
Apple Reminders may sync through iCloud or another account you configure in macOS. That synchronization is handled by Apple. App Store purchases and any diagnostics you choose to share with Apple are handled through Apple’s services.
Your choices
Revoke Reminders access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Reminders. Hypertask then cannot read or change those tasks. Deleting a reminder in Hypertask deletes it from Apple Reminders; uninstalling Hypertask does not. Website refunds are requested by email; Stripe then handles the card. Apple purchases use Apple’s refund path.
